Gujarat Board Grading Pattern:
GSEB has updated its ranking system. Before 2011 every student’s rank studying under the Gujarat board was based on percentage. Now it is changed to percentile. How to calculate percentile rank? Firstly, subtract the percentile from the 100. The second step is to multiply the answer given in Step 1 with the total number of candidates who appeared in the batch. The last step is to divide the answer in step 2 by 100. In this way, a student’s rank can be determined.
Marks obtained | Grade awarded |
Between 91 and100 | A1 |
Between 81 and 90 | A2 |
Between 71 and 80 | B1 |
Between 61 and 80 | B2 |
Between 51 and 60 | C1 |
Between 41 and 50 | C2 |
Between 35 and 40 | D |
Between 21 and 35 | E1 |
Between 00 and 20 | E2 |
